War Horse Movie by Steven Spielberg

War Horse MovieWar Horse is an upcoming war movie directed by Steven Spielberg based on the book War Horse, a children's fiction novel by Michael Morpurgo first published in Great Britain in 1982. The film is starring Jeremy Irvine, Emily Watson, Peter Mullan, David Thewlis, Benedict Cumberbatch, Niels Arestrup, Nicolas Bro, David Kross, Leonard Carow, Rainer Bock, Robert Emms, Patrick Kennedy, Tom Hiddleston, and Stephen Graham. The movie War Horse will be released on August 10, 2011.

Director Steven Spielberg talking about War Horse:

"From the moment I read the book, I knew this was a film I wanted Dreamworks to make. Its heart and its message provide a story that can be felt in every country."
Director Steven Spielberg

"In 1914, Joey, a beautiful bay-red foal with a distinctive cross on his nose, is sold to the army and thrust into the midst of the war on the Western Front. With his officer, he charges toward the enemy, witnessing the horror of the battles in France. But even in the desolation of the trenches, Joey´s courage touches the soldiers around him and he is able to find warmth and hope. But his heart aches for Albert, the farmer's son he left behind. Will he ever see his true master again?"

Sounds like an inspiring story with a lot of potential. I think that a truly great movie can be made out of this! And the fact that the story takes place during World War I makes it particularly interesting: they aren't that many movies that talk about this period.

Hope t get more information about the movie War Horse soon!
